Deb-

That would be the only thing that comes to mind that would show you an "empty"
subform when you reopen the outer form. Do you have your Link Master / Link
Child properties of the subform control set properly? Is there any code running
in either form that might put the subform in Data Entry mode?

Hi John,

I checked by clicking on the left top corner of the subform and under Data
where it says Data Entry it is set to NO. That seems to be the only place
that I can get the Data Entry line to show up....
