Oh and John, one other thing, you said: "It looks like your service templates are keyed on CustomerID and EquipmentID". That is correct but that is not the primary key and that key combination is not unique. The primary key is merely the ServiceReportTemplateID field.
The same combination of CustomerID/EquipmentID might appear in 2-4 template records. The only unique key in that template file is the primary key, ServiceReportTemplateID .
