Access cannot do it automagically. You would need some VBA coding that uses the Split function

Subject: [MS_AccessPros] Splitting Full Name
I have been doing this task with Excel but wondering if Access can't do it automatically. I wish to split Full names like "James Asante" into two fields, First Name and Last Name.
