Re: RE: [MS_AccessPros] Split a text field into two text fields.

Duane-
I think I know to how to solve my problem. I am going to try to use Right() to find the first space, then to use Instr() to get the family name. And the same way to get first name. Thanks a lot.
Best Regards,
Kevin

Kevin,
Do you really want to include the titles with the names?
Are there always a first name, space, and last name?

Have you looked into the string functions like Instr(), Left(), Right() , and Mid()?

What have you tried so far?

Dear All,

I have a text field called "PassangerFullName", for example:

PassangerFullName: Jack Smith

My question is: how to split this "PassangerFullName" into two text field, namely "FirstName: Jack" and "FamilyName: Smith"? Thanks in advance.

Best Regards,
Kevin
