Re: [MS_AccessPros] OT - Code help with code generator

Thanks John,

That has identified the code. Now I need to find a forum for VBScript.

The company added this rider to recent advice:

"""   Note: While we are happy to support your usage of our software, please note that technical support does not entail customization of templates, extensions or generated code, writing server events or client scripts (JavaScripts) or custom template, integrating third-party code, server configuration or any other issues not directly related to the workings of the software. Request for debugging or modifying code not generated from the original template will be ignored.   """

Previously they have written code snippets and advised how to use them. I do understand their point of view. It is up to me to become conversant. Now with your help I am facing the right direction.

My very grateful thanks,

Regards,

Robin Chapple

Robin-

That looks like VBScript code for a web page. I would guess that the company will no longer help you write additional code that you might need in the generated pages. I would hope they would continue to provide support for code their product generates to emulate any VBA found in your database that is being used as the generator source.

At least they do assist with skeleton code (much like VBA does in Access) for events that you might need to code yourself. Unless you have always been in the habit of further customizing the pages generated, I wouldn't worry about it.

My apology that this is 'off topic''.

I use a code generator to run an Access database on a remote server.
The code generator company have been first class in their support in
the eight years that we have used their product.

Recently they have introduced a waiver that they will not assist with
any code needed by the user which I understand. I do not understand
the code used and I seek another forum where I can seek help.

This is an example of the skeleton provided for the user to write
their own code:

' Page Render event
Sub Page_Render()
'Response.Write "Page Render"
End Sub

Where may I seek help with this problem?

Many thanks,

Robin Chapple
