Thanks Jeff, even though I am not using a parent/child relationship, the idea made me re-examine how I implemented the form being called and found the issue. I had used a different template that was the problem so I started the form over from scratch and everything appears to be working. Thanks John, Bill and Jeff I think the project is just about complete, will be working on user and support manuals. Rod --- In ms_access_professionals@yahoogroups.com, <jpjones23@...> wrote: Hi Rod,
Are you working with a parent / child table relationship? When I read "associated table" I get the impression that the table is not the primary table but that it's a child table to the primary. If this is the case, what table relationships exist between the 2 tables. I've seen something like you are getting when a child table record is trying to be created before its time.
Just a thought.....
Jeff

The table is a linked Access 2010 table. There is no code in the LOAD or OPEN events. Will be trying to find a way to trap the message but at this point not sure where to put the code. Good Morning John,
There is one field that has a default value. The field is BOOLEAN with a
default value of 0. I do use a couple of global variables but they are not
accessed until ready to post the new record. The rest of the fields are
strings and the autonumbered index.
