Liz-

If the user (or your code) hasn't "dirtied" the outer form, then the Update
events won't fire. If the outer form has a change and the focus gets moved
to a subform, the outer record gets saved automatically and the events fire.
Same happens in reverse - the subform is "dirty" and you move focus back out
to the outer form, the subform events fire.

Hi Liz,

I would not expect the main form AfterUpdate Event to be triggered.

To verify if that's right or not, you can put a Debug statement in the
EventHandler with a MsgBox or a Debug.Print statement.

But if you change some data in the Main Form from within the SubForm code
then that would cause a Main Form AfterUpdate Event.
