greatly appreciated.
After reviewing mainly all the posts and uploads, I still cannot find what
I'm looking for. Background: OUTLOOK 2010 and ACCESS 2010. Do not know the
exchange that we are using nor the server info. I email Bill this and he
stated that I should post it on here to see what others think/know.
My company (US Navy) upgraded to WIN7 with that came OUTLOOK 2010 and ACCESS
2010. The db that I inherited was written in ACCESS 2000, I made a ton of
changes to get it up to speed with what my company wanted/needed. Left work
on Friday, came into work on Monday and we were upgraded to WIN7 and the db
didn't work. I now have it working well with some minor yet mission critical
issues.
What I did have (OUTLOOK 2003 and ACCESS 2003)
- A COMMAND Button on a FORM that when pressed would read through all emails
in a PUBLIC FOLDER in OUTLOOK 2003.
What I have now (OUTLOOK 2010 and ACCESS 2010)
- Before I go into detail, I cannot, repeat CANNOT change security settings
in OUTLOOK 2010 or ACCESS 2010.
- Due to the restriction with OUTLOOK 2010, I created a LINKED Table via the
wizard to Outlook 2010 however, it only allows one user to utilize the table
(the one that sets up the linked table) due to the way Outlook 2010 has the
profile name attached to the Public Folders name. i.e. ( Public Folders -
Matthew.Randolph@eu.navy.smil.mil) This works great if I'm the only one
importing these emails. This has to be done periodically throughout the day.
However, I would like have a day off sometime and in order to allow other
users to access these emails via ACCESS I have re-create the linked table
with their profile.
This is what I need to do
-I need to make a linked table to a Public Folder in Outlook 2010 without
using the Wizard (VBA Code, or some other way).
What I want to do:
I've search all over and found some code (NON ACCESS 2010) that somewhat
works however, I keep getting errors and can't figure it out.
If anyone has time, please help me out? Please let me know if I need to
clarify anything. Thank you in advance for any help. I look forward to you
reply.
Matt
P.S. I am unable to just cut and paste code because the code that I'm
writing is on a secret computer so I have to "fat-finger" everything from
high (secret) side to low (unclass) side. I will if it will help.
