I am trying to find a sample of using PDF with Access 2013. I have a database in which we track housing application. Once the application is filled out by the prospective applicant. It entered into the database and then the application itself is scanned in.
The first stab I made of this was by trying to work with it as an image (sample database found on this site) and that worked fine if the documents were images but not the PDF. But then again at some point I am going to have to handle both images and PDFs at the same time. But the PDF is the bigger issue right now.
My next thought was to use an attachment field type but unfortunately we are working with a SQL Server backend which does not allow for that particular type of field.
So any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
