in addition to Duane's suggestion, we have a file in our Files>Samples folder called SetPropertiesonload. It has all the code you need to set database properties such as the AllowBypassKey (Shift key). Put the code in your startup form. The first time the startup form opens it sets the properties. You won't see any visible change until you open the database the next time.

Oh, and if you want the opensource version of my PropertiesSetter that Duane recommended it's in the Utilities_Addins folder as are all my toys that are on my website. Being a member here gets you that perk.

Hi All,

I feel sure that somwhere in the Group Files Section there was an
example of disabling the ShiftKey to prevent users from avoiding
the normal Start-Up screen.

I have searched the titles of all the folders and files and not found it.

Can anyone please show me where the file is or send me the details
of how to do it?

Regards, Clive(Williams)
