Re: [MSAccessProfessionals] switchboard cause a problem

Hi Youssef

The problem you are seeing is probably from a timer event. Does the switchboard use such an event? What happens is this: every time the time fires it causes the code window to refresh. That makes the cursor jump around or incomplete lines of code to trigger errors.

I never write code with a form or report open. It can lead to an unstable code page. It's best to have all objects in design view when coding. And as you see, timers make things very annoying when coding.

Subject: [MSAccessProfessionals] switchboard cause a problem

Dear All,
I use switchboard (that generated by the wizard) in all my access databases (see attached)
but this switchboard causes me a problem during writing a code
the code editor not working properly if this switchboard is open so if i want to write some code i have to close this switchboard first
is there an explanation to this problem
thanks in advance
