Great book. I have that on my shelf too.
That is the Calendar control, which is no longer included. You may, however, be able to find MSCAL.OCX on your computer and add a reference to it.
Here is another contact example. The calendar it uses was created by a form, so doesn't need that control.

The book is Microsoft Office Access 2007 Inside Out by Viescas and Conrad. The database is Contacts.accdb that is on the CD that comes with the book. Using Windows 10 and Access 2016.
