Actually, putting the password in your app opens a security hole. Anyone who can get access to your app can open the files. Better to continue using FollowHyperLink and let the PDF program prompt the user for the password.

I am using Access 2010 on Windows 7. Currently I can open the PDF files using a hyperlink. However management would like to password protect the files. That would keep prying eyes at bay. My question is there a way to open the PDF files and pass the password at the same time? That way only the appropriate users will have access to the files. The other benefit would keep everyone from modifying the files.
