RE: [MS_AccessPros] Allow a sub-report to grow without pushing lower fields down

Adam-

Size the two subreport controls exactly to fit the available space, then set Can
Grow to no. This will mean that there may be space between the last line of
sub1 and the first of sub2, but you can't fix the location of Field3 unless you
do this. Well, you can, but it would require a bunch of complex code to
calculate and resize sub2 based on the size of sub1.

Subject: [MS_AccessPros] Allow a sub-report to grow without pushing lower fields
down

How do I allow a sub report to grow without pushing fields below it down? The
report is printed on a pre-printed form, so they have to print in specific
spots.

There are two sub reports. Sub1 has an undetermined but limited number of lines;
the lines don't wrap/grow. Sub2 starts immediately below and has up to 3
lines/records. The lines may wrap/grow. The two reports together have to fit
within a confined space. That's easy enough. However, there's a field below
(Field3) that has to print in a specific spot. Because the lines can wrap on
sub2, it can push that field down.

How do I adjust for that?

Adam
