Re: [MS_AccessPros] Persistence Framework

Mark,

My sample db named FormSubf_ReOpenAtCurrRec might be of interest to you. It is in access 2000 file format (Ref: DAO 3.6) and is available at Rogers Access Library. Link:
http://www.rogersaccesslibrary.com/forum/forum_topics.asp?FID=45

This sample db demonstrates re-opening of main as well as subform at the respective records which were current when last closed. If the current position on last closure was a new record, the form in question will re-open at new record.

The behavior holds good not only in the current session but also on closing and then re-opening of the db in question.

Note: Last held positions are stored as database properties.

In this forum, you don't need to snip the previous posts while replying. This way, each post becomes self contained, making it more convenient for eliciting replies.

It would also be nice if you could kindly make it convenient to mention your name too, at the end of your posts. This would also help ensure that your posts do continue to receive due attention.

Best wishes,
A.D. Tejpal

Yes, it's Mark.
Thanks, but I don't understand the tie-in here. I've used the 2007 documenter before. I want to store default values, most recently referenced keys, and a lot of other stuff. So, for instance, the user opens a form and he goes right to the last client record he was working on previously.
