Hi all,
I have a form "Listings". In the BeforeUpdate event of the form I would like to place code that looks for another record with the same "ListDate" and similar "PropertyName" in the recordsource of the form. The RecordSource will have been saved via code as strListingsRecordsource. If so, ideally a message would come up with "There is another property with a "PropertyNameOfTheFoundOne" and the "ListDate". Clicking a button would open that property in another form. Would that have to be a collection?
Of course, if you think of a different/better way I'm all for it? I just found that a user inadvertently entered the wrong address for a property so I didn't catch the double entry. Catching the same date and similar propertyname would do so.
thanks!
