Re: [MSAccessProfessionals] ReLink procedures

Relationships are in the back so they shouldn't be affected. I recall there is a checkbox that forces changing the links to the original or at least a different back from the current. This should be the same as when you prepare for vacation.

No Zwift for me at the moment. I'm using the free RGT but it's not as engaging :-(

I tried Relink and have 4 tables that said "Table's relationships will be deleted before relink. Do you want to continue?"

 Bill,

Simple, don't take work on vacation! Take your bike.

Do you edit data in the back-end? Does anyone else edit data while you are on vacation? Have you considered having a PC set up at work that you can remote into? If you simply make changes to the front-end, you should be able to use the linked table manager to connect to the work back-end.

Periodically I take a copy of my front end and back end and put them on a laptop computer so I can take my work with me on vacation.

I continue to struggle with the proper procedure to re-link the two data bases on the new computer.  I seem to end up with duplicate tables every time and have to go through and delete and rename.
