I would consider using Excel and data queries, DAO, or ADO recordsets to pull data into sheets and then pushing data back into the database. I currently do this regularly allowing users to
1) open an Excel file,
2) make some type of filter selection,
3) download data,
4) update the data,
5) click a button to upload
The file could be emailed to someone between steps 3 and 4. The completed file could then be emailed back for step 5.
