RE: [MS_AccessPros] update query with a calculation

I’m sorry.  I’m just so flustered cause I got hit with so many things this morning.  I don’t actually think it is the query after all.  I think it is how I have it formatted or the code or something.

It is a decimal but formatted as a percent.  It’s still showing 0 in the code but it is allowing me to step through it, but then I realize that isn’t even the number I want calculated anyway.  I want 100-(countofid/opportunities) instead.

It’s time for me to step away for lunch break and then I’ll gather my thoughts and let you know what I find.  I’m sure I am doing something stupid.

Liz,

Also, "isn't working for me" is not very helpful. We would like to know your results and what's not working.

Regards,

Duane

Liz-

It would help to see your actual code and not just the SQL.

Pros, I don’t know if I’ve actually ever tried this before, but this calculation isn’t working for me in an update query.  In the interest of time, I’m going to set a variable because this is all running in code anyway, but I was just curious as if anyone knew what I was doing wrong or if there was a known issue.

Here is the SQL:

UPDATE Skeleton SET NumSquawks = 2, FPY = 2/[NumOpportunities] WHERE Program = 'aprog' AND SS = 15 AND OPSeq = 'anum' AND WorkCenter = 'aworkcenter' AND Suite = 'asuite'
