Kevin-
If it's going to be shared simultaneously by 100 users with heavy searches, then Access is probably not the right choice. It is possible to make it work with up to 100 users and light database access using just the desktop portion of MS Access. Look in our Files / Articles_Excerpts section for two chapters from my Building book that might give you an idea of how to design your application if you decide to go with Access. I recommend you start with the latest version of Access - but probably not anything before 2007.
Look for the files:
BuildingAccessAppsCh01.pdf
and
BuildingAccessAppsCH03.pdf

Dear All,
I am going to design an access application for our company. My question is which version of access is the best? If my backend is shared internally by 100 people, is it ok to stay in access format instead of exporting it to the sql server? You know there's always errors when exporting/importing…
Thanks in advance,
Best Regards,
Kevin
