RE: [MS_AccessPros] Re: Using imgMso in Access 2013

Hi Art

You cannot add your own imageMso images, because "Mso" means "Microsoft Office" and they are the images built in to the product.

However, you can associate your own images with a ribbon control using the Image tag, and then load them with either on a control basis with the getImage callback, or ribbon-wide with the loadImage callback.  The images can either be stored in a table, or you can load them on the fly from image files in a known folder.  Here's an example from Gunter Avenius' excellent site:

Best wishes,
Graham

Sorry, my original post got lost in translation somewhere...

 I am creating a custom ribbon for my application and am wondering is there a way to add my own imageMso files or am I locked into the one's Microsoft supplied?

This is the line of code where it is called:

 <group id="grpCreate" label="Create" visible="true">
                     <button id="cmdStore" label="Store" imageMso="MoveToFolder" size="large" onAction="onOpenStore" supertip="Store a document."/>
                     <button id="cmdScan" label="Scan" imageMso="ImagerScan" size="large" onAction="onOpenScan" supertip="Scan a document."/>
                     <button id="cmdAddDrawer" label="AddDrawer" imageMso="NameManager" size="large" onAction="onAddDrawer" supertip="Add a drawer to the cabinet."/>
                     <button id="cmdAddFolder" label="Add Folder" imageMso="ShowCustomPage" size="large" onAction="onAddFolder" supertip="Add a folder to the drawer."/>
                    </group>

I would like to use my own imageMso.  Is there any possible way?

With Warm Regards,

I have lots of ideas but no idea which of them if any you might be interested in.

You might want to make sure your reply includes enough of the previous messages to provide some context.
