[MS_AccessPros] Re: Track changes in database

Giorgio - Access 2007 and later does a poor job of handling 2003 toolbars. But the dev toolbar should work if you have the module that goes with it. To add an index to one of your modules, select it in the navigation pane and then click the index button in the toolbar. That should index the module and open the code window to show you the index.

Be sure you don't run the index on the dev toolbar module itself as it will destroy some of the code.

If you can get you hands on Access 2003 you can right-click on the dev toolbar and select "Customize". Then select any button and look at the action line in its properties. That will show you which function it fires.

Maybe someday I'll find time to convert the toolbar to a ribbon.

Maybe Bill (the author) can jump in and explain.  If you were using 2003 or earlier, you could edit the toolbar to see what it does.  In 2007 and later, you'll have to navigate the CommandBars collection in code to try to figure it out.

If you check out this DevToolBar.jpg you'll see the first button on the left of the Dev Toolbar is titled IndexMod but when I press it nothing happens. I've imported the supporting BasDevToolbar module but how does one know which part of the code is run when you press this button? I don't see any reference to IndexMod in the imported code.
