You didn't include prior messages in this reply, so it's tough to remember what went on before. As I recall, the control for Produkt looked like a Text Box, not a Combo Box. That combo box should be setting the Produktnr foreign key in the table you're editing in the subform.

The control named Produkt in my subform is of course a combo-box, in which the fields Produktnr (datatype = auto number) and Produktnamn (datatype=text) and 4 more are read from the table Produkter joined with the table Producenter (the company producing the products in table Produkter) on the primary key Producentnr of this table.
