It is very helpful for the "mature/old" audience if you include significant information from previous posts in your reply. It saves me from having to look back through possibly deleted emails.
Is the text box "Psych" bound to a text field? If so, it should work as long as the control and form record source isn't read-only and the control source is something like:
Control Source: [Your Field Name Here]

Duane, Please tell me if this is completely stupid because I'd rather fix this before I go any further on the project and I'm a beginner at Access.
I created an unbound option group and a text box bound to the field in the table where I want the "translated" value stored. Then I wrote the code for the option group using "Psych" which is the name of the text box. Is that all messed up?
