Dear spearse- (name?)
1) Did you import or link the Excel data?
2) What is the SQL from your query?

Subject: [MS_AccessPros] RE: MS Access Message / I am confused
So I saved and closed the Access database. Then navigated to the link I saved. When I reran the query it then gave me a "Type Mismatch in Expression" message.

Built a simple MS Access query from two imported Excel files, which are closed and not open by anyone else, and I am getting the following message:
"The wizard is unable to open your query in Datasheet view, possibly because another user has the source table open in exclusive mode. Your query will be opened in Design view."
I don't understand. There are no other users.
Thanks.
