I just did a dcount and this is what I did and it works. Maybe you are missing the quotes on the last string
="Records on the report is " & " " & DCount("*","In CurrentVacEmplTable Not in TMA")

Hi Arthur
/Rental/ is a literal text value, so it must be enclosed in quotes like this:
=DCount("[UnitID]","tblUnit","[ClassificationType] = 'Rental' ")
Without the quotes, SQL would look unsuccessfully for a field named "Rental" to match with the field named ClassificationType"
Best wishes,
Graham

=DCount("[UnitID]","tblUnit","[ClassificationType] = Rental")
But I keep getting an error. I think it has to do with =Rental" but not sure how to correct it. Any ideas?
Thank you,
