Re: [MS_AccessPros] Question about one of the Access templates from Microsoft

Hi Bill,

kinda what I said, ... am I invisible? site slow to show responses?

With a new release on the horizon, it would be wise to wait till new stuff is known.  Who would want to be rolling out, after hard work, to find that things are different? ... err on the side of caution.  Plan more now. Implement what is feasible with current tools.

Windows 8 Release Preview is out

September 12 is Microsoft Visual Studio virtual launch

I have some YouTube videos on building apps with Windows Phone ... and everything covered there is applicable to Windows 8 :) ... and yes, I still look almost everything up!  I'm not sure C# can be inherent in my thinking like VB --there are more code examples so I switched.  A year ago, when I started this, I didn't even understand the Help to fix stuff.  Now the Help makes more sense too :)  Everything I know is in the videos -- and the link in the channel description to all the step-by-step documents on my skydrive ;)

Rod

You should be able to use the "web" template as a regular database. But don't quote me on that. If you want it to be accessable from a browser you have to use Access Services on a SharePoint server.
