[MS_AccessPros] Re: SSMA for Access

 

Questions are a good thing. That's why we are here.

What I have done with password stuff in the past is to call the person ahead of time and told him the pattern I would use in an email. For instance, the first two characters of each paragraph.

But that kind of limits the password. It would be hard to justify starting a paragraph with !$. So I also make sure the person has to change his password the first time logging in.

Ultimately, if you have to use email you should be sending passwords through encrypted email.
