Hi the_extinguisher_pro (what is your name?)

Welcome ;)

~~~
to add another field to a table:
1. right-click on the table name in the database window or navigation pane
2. choose "Design" from the shortcut menu
3. choose:
- field name
- data type
- description
- size
- default value
etc
For lessons on planning a database, watch these free video tutorials:
Learn Access on YouTube
either you are not typing the name correctly, with any leading or trailing spaces
or
what is being stored is a foreign key to the record in tblCities and the text is only displayed
or ...
to fix it, you need to learn more about Access. In addition to watching the 4 10-minute LearnAccess videos, read this:
Access Basics by Crystal (Bill Mosca's site)
http://thatlldoit.com
Free 100-page book that covers essentials in Access
and pay careful attention to the chapters on Normalization and Relationships.
Warm Regards,
Crystal
