Thanks for your response.

As mentioned in my initial email I am using .......=IIf([situation] Is Null,Null,"Situation:") to successfully hide the label for the fields on the main report.  This works beautifully!

I tried .......=IIf([repclasubrep].[Report].[clause_name] Is Null,Null,"Extensions:") to hide the label if the field is null on the subreport but the label is still being displayed although the field is empty.
