Use a pass-through query that returns only the records you require in your report. Change the SQL property of the P-T before opening the report.

Thanks Duane.  Sorry I am not good Access so I'm not sure if I understand what you mean.  Do you mean I should use pass through query but don't need to change SQL property?  Without using pass through query, the report is running very slow now.  How will the pass through query get the parameter values?
