Hi, we have a split Access application that we migrated the back end database to SQL Server. Some reports are running too slow now, I think it's because Access is trying to pull a lot records one by one from SQL server to Access front end then do the filter, similar issue I had before with searching records. The current reports are set to use macro to get some values from forms, then the queries (as the record source for reports) use those values as criteria. They could fill one or more of the text boxes and drop down boxes, so the parameters are different each time. If I change the queries to be pass through queries, I can't put the parameters from the form directly into those pass through queries. How should I handle this? Duane sent a link last time about changing SQL property of a saved query. Should I just make pass through queries with no criteria as data sources for reports, then use VBA/DAO codes to change the SQL def depending on what users choose? Where should I put these codes? In 'Load' of the reports? 'Click' of the OK button on the form? Thanks very much!
