Hi Doyce
My work has taken me away from Access for most of the time as I have become a DBA for or Epic software, but I get back here as often as I can.
I saw a blog on the Access/Vault conflict somewhere but can't find it now. It has to do with a DLL or a TBL file if I remember right. The solution was to upgrade to Office 2013, but it looks like you figured it out.
Regards,
Bill

Hey Bill!
Nice to hear from you! After further tests by installing the Vault client on another PC, I'm fairly certain it is Vault corrupting Office somehow. Running the large repair of Office fixed the first PC. Now I have to try it on the second one.
Thanks for responding!

Hi Doyce
When a switchboard won't run the first thing to check is the Trusted Locations settings. The database must be in a trusted location for VBA code to work. The switchboard relies heavily on code.
Also, I've seen posts elsewhere about conflicts between Vault and Office when Office isn't 2013 or later. Make sure you have all the Windows/Office updates installed.

Hello Pros,
We just installed an Autodesk Vault software on our engineering computers. It has links into Office and especially Outlook. It must also affect Access because after the install, the switchboard won't run. My investigations into this lead me to believe that 2 different versions of msado28.tlb is to blame. The engineering PCs now have a 2013 version of the file where all my other PCs have a 2012 version of the file. I tried to rename the 2012 version on my PC and was going to copy in the 2013 version and see if it would compile and run but the PC wouldn't let me rename the file. I also tried compiling the database on the engineering PC but it gives a 429 error. How can I fix this reference?
