Re: [MS_AccessPros] Dragging borderless form

hi Dave,

it won't work on every form -- the form needs to have the following properties set:

Moveable =true
Popup = True
(can be opened with acDialog so it is in its own window)

and, as Bill said, "Just about every Windows application uses bordered forms that can be dragged around because that  is what users want." ... so why borderless? It seems you at least want a titlebar.

respectfully,
crystal

I've just tried that on a borderless form in Access 2003, but the Move option is greyed out on the Windows menu so you still can't move the form.

As Bill said, you can't drag a borderless form with the mouse -- but you might still be able to move it with the keyboard IF it is also a popup form and Moveable is true.

Press ALT-Spacebar to open the Windows menu in the upper left -- down arrow to Move, then Enter to choose -- then arrows to where you want the window to go, then Enter when done

I don't think you can drag borderless forms. I've never understood the need for those. What is the justification for a borderless form? Just about every Windows application uses bordered forms that can be dragged around because that  is what users want.

Access 2010, is there possible to make the borderless form to be dragged by mouse anywhere on screen?
