I should have added to my reply that I prefer to NOT hard-code values into expressions. If you have two values that should be combined for reporting, I would always assume there will be more or others will need to be combined. Consider storing information about the combining in your tables.
For instance if you have a table of colors and want several combined, you could add a field to your color table like:
Color ColorGroup
--------- ----------------
Red Red
Blue Blue
White Gray Scale
Orange Orange
Black Gray Scale
Purple Purple
Gray Gray Scale
You can then use the ColorGroup rather than Color when creating your crosstab. When you add "light gray" as a color, set it to "Gray Scale".

Ok, so I got that part to work, but now when I run the query, it is asking for parameter values instead of providing data. Am I missing something?
