Thank you for your response. While running the Package Solution Wizard for Access 2007, I selected "C:\Program Files" as the default installation folder. In Windows Vista, Program Files directory is read-only (as indicated in the wizard). This attribute made the database read-only. I have chosen another location and the program is running as expected. What do you mean by "failed to run"? You shouldn't be making any design changes in Runtime.
