[MS_AccessPros] Re: Automatic import/validation/update from Excel spreadsheet to Access

 

Hi Sally,

Sorry to be slow responding.

From what you have said, I don't see why the buyers
are using spreadsheets to enter the data. If the the
data can be entered in a spreadsheet why not use the
database instead and get the benefit of validating
the data as it is entered?

Are they located remotely from your location and have
to email the spreadsheets to you?

If you want to email the results of your present
validation then that could be automated and the
results sent to the originator.
If you want more informatioon on emailing from Access
then raise it as a separate problem because there
are many in the group that do that.
There are three files related to email from Access in
the group files 1_Samples folder.

I will be interested in your answers.
