Re: [MS_AccessPros] Help with tabbed subform (Access2007)

Hi Baron (what is your name?)

link on the combination of ClientID and PetNum (which you will store).  Created hidden textboxes on  the mainform like this:

Name--> PetNum1
ControlSource --> =1

Name--> PetNum2
ControlSource --> =2

Name--> PetNum3
ControlSource --> =3

on the mainform current event, show or hide tabs and requery the subforms

Warm Regards,
Crystal

It has been about 9 years since I last worked on Access development (using Access 2K).  I was pretty good at the time in VBA but I'm finding that I have gotten rusty in the intervening years. I've remained subscribed to this group, but I haven't been keeping up as much as I should have.

I am now developing a Access2007 database for a home business. I could use a helping hand on this one...

I have a main form (Clients) and a tabbed subform (Pets). The main form shows individual Client data (name, address, etc.). The subform shows data for any pets the client owns (name, breed, age, etc.). I would like each tab on the subform to show the data for an individual pet. If a Client has more than one pet, then the second pet's data should appear on the 2nd tab, third pet's data on tab 3, etc...

Currently I'm stuck. I inserted a subform on the tab control and it's working fine - but it's appearing as a subform with multiple pets' records showing, and it's appearing only on the first tab.

Can somebody jog my memory? I'm pretty sure there's a way to do it.

Thanks in advance, and thanks for all the great tips ...
