if you are using Access 2007 or above:
go to the design view of the form
turn on the Property sheet if it is not showing (right-click anywhere, choose Properties from the shortcut menu at the bottom)
click on the Date1 control
on the Format tab of the Property sheet, choose what you want for the "Show Date Picker" property

Thanks Crystal. That worked fine, but how do I get the date picker on the form? The textbox control on the form is unbound. When I click the command button to run the query, just a plain text box appears w/no date picker.
