[MS_AccessPros] MS Access 2003 Restarting after adding a commmand button

 

I have seen this from time to time in the past and am wondering what the issue is.

I created a submenu form. When I add a command button using the wizard, to open another form, Access closes. I add the command button by clicking on "Form Operations" then "Open Form", then I select the form selecting "Open the form and show all the records." Then I enter the text for the button, click next, then enter the name that I want to use to refer to the button. I name it something like cmdOpenFrmJohnsStuff (ususally not that long of a cmd name). When I click finish, Access shuts down.

In the past when this occured, I went into the code and compilied the database. That ususually solved the issue but not all the time.

Any ideas?
