Dear TopFuel- (name?)
Try checking the VB library references on that user's machine. Open the VB
Editor window (CTRL+G) and choose References from the Tools menu. If you see
any libraries marked "MISSING", try removing that reference, compile and save
the VB project, then try the app again. Somtimes - especially if the database
has been converted from a prior version - old references to obsolete libraries
hang around. When there's a "missing" library, all sorts of built-in functions
start failing.

Subject: [MS_AccessPros] Function is not available in expressions in query
expression
I have this sub that works fine on all my users (8) except one.
The line of code is:
80 TempVars("strWorkingMonthID").Value = DMax("[PeriodID]", "LUT_ClaimPeriods",
"[ToDate] < Date() AND Left$([ShortName],1) <> 'P'")
The error is as follows:
Function is not available in expressions in query expression '[ToDate] < Date()
AND Left$([ShortName],1) <> 'P'
The code just looks up the newest record that is before the present date, where
the Shortname does not start with a "P".
I'm at a loss as to why it works fine on everyone elses apart from one machine.
- Any ideas?
