If you cannot delete the record its a sure sign of corruption. Create new db and import all objects.

You should have asked the user what is the last he do, what report.Maybe you can debug the report and inspect each variable values. On Thu, Apr 8, 2021, 6:48 AM Jim Wagner <josephwagner2@outlook.com> wrote:Duane,
You were right. It was a bad record. there was a record with Chinese characters. I could not directly delete the record. I had to use a make table query to exclude the record. that finally worked. but deleting it directly would give me an error saying it could not find the key.
thank you for your help.

the report has been working for years and there has been no changes to the query or the report. No missing references in vbaI did not create the table so the names are so crazy that I cringe every time i see them. examples Draft posting to HO and HO approves postingThe query runs with no issues.I deleted all of the objects on the report and that did not work.I deleted the text box in the grouping header and it worked.but when i recreated the report it came back with the error.i created a new table and i still see the error

Subject: [MSAccessProfessionals] New Error | Reserved Error (-1524); there is no message for this error.Hello All,
One of my users received this error on a front end database this morning. the help is no help. I am able to recreate the objects of the report and query and table in a blank database and it works. but if I move it into the production front end it does not work. I moved all of the objects to a blank database and that did not work. all of the tables are linked tables in a backend.
It has taken me years to get my bosses to let me do the front end back end solution and this may force me back to one database for multiple users.
there was a office update last night so i do not know what to think.
Is there a fix for this?
thank You
Jim Wagner
