RE: [MS_AccessPros] OT: clock -- from: Retain only the letters and numbers in a string

Hi Crystal

I'd love to see the full-blown version. Are you comfortable with uploading it to our members-only files?

Hi Bill,

in the code video I am making now, I am also covering the trigonometry to calculate position, and diving deeper into the logic to translate coordinates. Hopefully it will be well-explained enough to be helpful.  That part will be harder to understand than the VBA code that is used.  The module is really not all that long ~ about 150 statements.

I was so happy to get the clock to move! ... to then play a sound each time was icing on the cake. Adding sound is actually quite easy ... oh the ideas ...

To make the ACCDB for public download, I removed a lot of the Clock functionality to make it simpler, so it can be a better teaching tool.

have an awesome day,

thank you, Bill!

If there are any places you think it needs more comments, please let me know! I am making a follow-up video about how the code works. You won't need that though :)

Hi all (specially Liz and Graham and Giorgio -- finally answered your Q
too),

What ?!? A clock with moving hands in Microsoft Access? with Sounds too
?!? ACCDB so you can see the code? Yes!!!

Finally got it done :) .... had other things to do, so this had to wait
..... now it's Friday! I am so excited to share this with you. I got to
combine 3 of my loves into one really cool form ... Access, Art, and
Music (it's a beat anyway)

"0" will force the display. Here is a link with format codes for numbers:
