[MS_AccessPros] Re: That darn "too many databases" error.

It's interesting that you didn't encounter the problem. The first time I got the dreaded message debugging pointed to it being in the middle of ConcatRelated. I'll have to check into it tomorrow when I'm at work.

What do you mean by "split the query"?

Can you explain why a shorter path would make a difference?

Thanks a lot for looking into it--I REALLY appreciate input!
Connie

This is a kind of recursion which is, at best, difficult to debug as it jumps in and out of VBA and the DB Engine for each record. If the DB Engine for some reason cannot cache and reuse the connections then it wil reopen the Db and the codedb (the same db) multiple times.

On my machine I had it unter C:\temp and the short path *might* have helped. If a shorter path helps on yur machine too then this is one more clue.)

Had forgotten to email myself the back end so that I could upload it on my day off if you guys were game. So had to wait til today.

I can delete what I've uploaded after a couple of days right? Any and all input on how to create a better product the next time are welcomed. At this point, I need to just make this one work as quickly as possible.
