I currently have a an excel sheet, which links to a query in Access. The sheet refreshes data "on open" and subsequently every 10 minutes. On occasion, when opening, the Access database warns that it is locked and must be "Saved As" to continue updating. It appears that some open threads are locking the database, which need to be ended, using (Admin) task manager [All users]. Is there any conditions, which may be added to the data connection string, which will prevent locking the database?
