You can do a custom install of Access 2010, but it's getting harder and harder to run multiple versions on one OS.
I gave up doing that when I had 2003 and 2007 on the same machine and installed Office 2010. A bunch of stuff broke including any Outlook Automation when used in 2003. It couldn't recognize Outlook 2010.
If you can get you hands on external hard drive you would be better off running a virtual PC for Office 2010. Or maybe your IT dept has an extra computer you can use. It won't hurt to ask.
