The answer is obvious (now that I have re-read your
first line).
The first TabStop is 0.
Note that you can view the tabStop order by opening
the form in DesignView and selecting View/TabOrder
from the MenuBar in Access2003,
or Arrange/TabOrder from the Ribbon in Access2007.
