Troy-
If there are floating point fields in the SQL view, then that's the problem.
Access and SQL Server store that data type differently. In the absence of any
other information, Access will often think the field has "changed" when it
really hasn't because of the difference caused by translation. You can avoid
this problem by adding a TimeStamp field to the SQL Server table and include
that in your view.

Subject: [MS_AccessPros] "The data has been changed" error
Hi,
I running Access 2010. I have a linked table to a SQL 2008 view, and a
table I created in Access (called override). I've been using this DB
for over a year, but lately have had some issues surface.
I've created a select query and have joined the tables by a field called
IDnumber. The query returns about 400 records, and 396 of them perform
as expected. On 4 of my records, anytime I click in any of the
"override table" fields, I get a message that say's "The data has been
changed. Another user edited this record and saved the changes before
you attempted to save your changes. Re-edit the record". This is a
single user DB. There are no open forms or tables...Just the query view
is open. Again, 396 of the 400 records work fine. If I go into the
override table, I can modify the fields fine.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Troy Sherven
