menyambut! Welcome, Hendra
the Learn Access videos on my YouTube channel are a good place to start learning Access They need to be watched in order.
Watch this video first. It is basic and gives a 10-minute overview of the main applications that are being used by companies:
Learn Access -1- Perspective
: English French Portugese (music: Doug Clark Steiger "These Hands")
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_i66z0Ks66k
then watch these 3:
Learn Access -2A- Planning ...
Learn Access -2B- Planning ...
Learn Access -2C- Planning ...
I am working on the next video in the series, -3- Build A Database, which I hope to post in the next couple weeks ... I know better than to say the next couple days! One of my New Year's resolutions is to get it posted.
I have playlists and subscriptions on my YouTube channel with great Access videos from other producers too. It is also good to learn Excel since Access and Excel wrk very well together -- and so much data that goes into Access originates in Excel
My Learn Access videos have captions (words that go across the bottom). If you think of the YouTube viewing window like a television, then you know it has controls ... change the volume, change the channel, etc.
The controls on the YouTube window do things like turn captions on/off, change the size, and change the quality.
In English, the control for captions is labeled "cc". The control is below the video in the lower right area, on the left side of the 4 icons (for this country). YouTube changes the controls so I quit referring to them in my videos.
The "cc" control is a toggle. A light switch is a toggle. If the light is on and you flip it, the light goes off. If "cc" is gray and you click it, it becomes red.
When the "cc" control is red, captions are being displayed, and you can change the language. Move the mouse over the red "cc" and a menu will pop up. The languages that are listed were translated by humans. John viescas did the French -- thanks, John! For the first video video, you can choose English, French or Portugese captions. You can also try translating to another language with YouTube's built-in translator -- click on "Translate Captions" when the translation choices are displayed. I doubt it makes much sense though! I do not speak another language well enough to find out.
Then my free Access Basics book is posted here:

Warm Regards,
Crystal
