Hi Davey,
The file that you showed in your first post looked like
it could have come from an EDECS file. An EDECS file
contains all the information about races, runners and
riders. They are produced and updated before and on race
days in the UK and Ireland.
Raceform Interactive, http://www.raceform.co.uk
is one of the providers of horse racing information. It is
not cheap unless you are a banker. There was a special
offer of £150 for 4 months back in 2007,
see: http://www.olbg.com/forum/topic6_15438.html
so it must cost about £50 a month by now. I suppose that's
a lot cheaper then a pint of beer a day. Yes, I just
found a link: https://www.racingpost.com/bookshop/
My philosophy on gambling is "Don't spend money on it
that you could not afford to flush down the loo!" but
if it is a pastime that grips you, limit your outgoings
to a definite amount and if you are on a 'winning streak'
don't be tempted to increase the amount. That's due to
my mathematical background. (end-of-sermon)
Q1. Where did you get hold of the data that you showed us?
Q3. Can you upload a file to the Group Files Folder:
2_AssistanceNeeded? (nothing confidential and also
zipped to save space)
Q2. What information do you want to extract from the data?
e.g. Races, Runners, Riders, PrizeMoney etc.
Hope that helps.
Regards, Clive.
